PELHAM, AL - Looking to go off road for the first time but not sure where to start? You can learn how for free every Saturday at Oak Mountain State Park.

The ride is hosted by Life Time Fitness Cycle Club. The group is led by instructor that will teach you the basics, from how to get on your bike, using your brakes on the trail, to how to ride over rocks and tree roots.

They also offer an Intermediate Level ride. The rides are free and offered every Saturday at Oak Mountain State Park. Riders are asked to meet at the Paddle Boat Parking Lot at 9:45am.

Donnette' Hulsey decided to try out the ride and see how hard it is to take to the trails.
