HOMEWOOD, AL - The search continues for two suspects involved in a police pursuit Friday morning.

The chase started around 9:00 a.m. in the city of Homewood as officers were trying to pull over a Chevy Tahoe for a traffic violation on West Valley Avenue.

The driver sped away and police pursued the suspects to southwest of Birmingham. The suspects then jumped out of the car and ran away into some woods.

Homewood police began search the wooded area using the assistance of some Birmingham officers and police search dogs. The officers later discovered that the vehicle had been stolen from a hotel in the area.

No one was hurt, nor was any vehicle hit during the police pursuit.

The suspects remain on the loose.
