It's not the kind of art work parishioners wanted to see at their church, and it happened at multiple churches in Center Point.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to three churches - Mountain View Baptist Church, Good Samaritan Church and Center Point Independent Church - all in northeast Jefferson county to investigate reports of vandalism.

In each case, graffiti was spray painted on the walls, floors and ground. All the churches had similar markings spray painted on them.

If you have any information about this crime you're encouraged to call the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office at (205)325-1450 or Crime Stoppers at (205)254-7777.

Similar cases of vandalism have been reported in Birmingham, Hueytown and Pleasant Grove.
