BIRMINGHAM, AL - More than 550 students from the Birmingham City Schools’ Camp Birmingham participated in the 26th Annual Camp Birmingham Olympics.

The opening ceremony kicked off this morning at 9:00 at Carver High School with a celebrity walk.

Afterwards, the campers competed in a number of events including basketball, softball, a sack race relay, a three-legged race, tug of war and a dance contest. The campers also faced off in several track and field events.

The Camp Birmingham Olympics wrapped up at 1:30 p.m. with an awards ceremony.
