Teen holds Phenix City employees at gunpoint

PHENIX CITY, Ala. -

An 18-year-old man has been arrested for armed robbery after threatening employees of a Phenix City Church's Chicken with a gun Monday morning.

Around 8:35a et, Kandall Passmore entered the restaurant and forced employees at gunpoint to open a safe and cash registers, Phenix City police say. Employees complied before Passmore than forced them into a restroom.

Passmore left the store with one bank bag and cash from the registers. The total amount stolen was not disclosed.

A short time later, Passmore lead officer on a foot chase before being arrested. He was found carrying the stolen cash and handgun. Police have charged with with first degree robbery.
