A Wylam man was killed after a head-on collision in Hueytown Wednesday morning.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office says Levy Jones, 91, died on the scene, after the crash.

The accident happened in the 1000 block of Allison Bonnett Memorial Drive about 7:45 a.m.

The wreck involved a 1980’s Ford F-150 pickup truck, and a 1998 Plymouth Voyager minivan.

The JCCO says Jones was driving the minivan at the time of the wreck.

The driver of the pickup truck suffered serious injuries, and was transported to UAB Hospital’s emergency room.

No other people were involved in the crash.
