REYNOLDS, Ga. -

Auburn quarterback Nick Marshall has paid the fines for possession of a small amount of marijuana and a window tint violation.

Reynolds, Georgia police chief Lonnie Holder said Thursday Marshall's mother, Shalina Cliett, paid the $1,100 in fines. That means Marshall will not have to appear at a September court hearing.

Holder and another officer found less than an ounce of marijuana in Marshall's car during a July 11 traffic stop for the window tinting. The fines were $1,000 for the marijuana and $100 for the window tint violation.
