CARY, N.C. -

One southbound lane of Kildaire Farm Road between High Meadow Drive and SW Cary Parkway remains closed Friday after a water main break Thursday.

Crews completed repairs near the intersection of Kildaire Farm Road and SW Cary Parkway.

Drivers are being asked to use an alternate route for the morning commute.

In addition, all lanes of travel are closed on Kildaire Farm Road between Cary Parkway and Tryon Road as crews repair a second water main break near Glasgow Road.

Work was expected to continue throughout Friday morning with no or limited access to area Friday afternoon.

Due to the water main repairs, residents in communities along Kildaire Farm Road and SW Cary Parkway may need to flush all household faucets for a few minutes. Customers who have questions or who have water that fails to clear should call the Town of Cary at (919) 469-4090.
