WEBSTER COUNTY, Ga. -

A Webster County woman on the run after allegedly deceiving a Georgia company out of a million dollars has been arrested in Oklahoma, the United States Marshals office announced Friday afternoon. On Thursday, marshals in Oklahoma spotted Janice Craft and arrested her after a traffic stop.

In July, a warrant charging Craft with one count of theft by conversion and one count of theft by deception was issued after Craft managed to cheat the Merritt Pecan Company out of a million dollars, according to the U.S. Marshals.

Webster County Sheriff Randy Dely stated that he “greatly appreciates the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service because without their assistance, Craft would still be on the run.”

Craft remains in the Tulsa County, Oklahoma jail awaiting extradition back to Georgia.
